Stubborn Slice sells pizza by the slice from a 1971 Citroën van. Set up by 21-year-old George Lorimer, he makes his dough by hand and toppings are added fresh to order. The pizzas are a hybrid of Italian and New York style slices of pizza.
"Pizza appeals to everyone - all ages, all classes, all countries, we all love it." - George Lorimer, founder of Stubborn Slice
Pizza by the Slice
The name Stubborn Slice is a mark of his determination to carve his own path: he chose not to go to university and not to mimic the formula of vans selling wood-fired pizzas. “I’m stubborn about the direction I’m taking. Despite the success of vans doing wood fired pizzas, I’m trying to do something new and different. I’m doing large slices of pizza, cooked in a gas oven, like they do in New York. It’s a more risky road to take because people are more familiar with wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas. But doing slices also makes me stand out."
"Amazing Pizza, friendly staff, great value for money and honestly worth a visit! Would definitely recommend, 10/10."
"Best pizza I've had in a long time - great base and delicious toppings."
"Fantastic, authentic pizza. Toppings to die for but the base is sublime. Great value too as one slice is the same as half a 10 inch. If you like real pizza, look no further."
Stubborn Slice Pizza Co. can be booked for private parties, birthdays, weddings in and around Fife, Scotland.
